The fourth round of Qatar Superstock 600 and third round Qatar Touring Car Championship will take place this weekend, 7th & 8th April at Lusail International Circuit.
Mishal Al Naimi (115) is leading the championship only by 5 points ahead of Saeed Al Sulaiti (110) who won the last race of the championship and as in previous rounds a tough battle between them is expected to continue.rnThe second race of the third round was cancelled due to weather conditions during the MotoGP weekend andthis Friday 7th April, it will take place this pending race.rnAl Sulaiti who took part as wild card in Moto2 two weeks ago has still some problems in his hand due to his crash. ‘The hand is not really good, as I have an old surgery and I had a big impact during the crash. According to my doctor, I have to do a surgery but I can wait until the end of the championship’ said Al Sulaiti.rn‘Regarding the championship, it is going to be a bit hard to have 3 races in the same weekend, but it is the same for everybody and this round is going to be an important one because we are in the mid of the championship and this weekend is going to be crucial to get some valuable points and try to lead thernchampionship. The gap between me and Mishal is only 5 points and I try to do my best to keep winning and close this gap ‘ added Al Sulaiti.rnAl Naimi had some problems with his bike during the last race and hopes that he can find a good set up for this weekend. ‘In the last round, I tried to make my lap time but I was very slow in the rhythm. I hope that for this weekend, the bike will be better and I can be faster and try to increase the gap with Saeed’ Al Naimi said.rnNasser Al Malki is third in the standings with 80 points and Ali Al Shammari in fourth place with 61 points.rnOn Friday, the track activity will start at 10:00 with the Free Practice 1 and the Free Practice 2 will be at 13:15.rnSuperpole 1 is scheduled at 15:45 and Superpole 2 at 16:10. The second race of Round 3 will be on Friday at 17:45. On Saturday, the Race 1 will start at 11:30 and Race 2 at 14:30.rnThis weekend, there will be also the third round of the Qatar Touring Car Championship where the leader is Abdulla Al Khelaifi (57) but only with one point ahead of Mansour Al Hajri (56). In the last round, we witnessed a tough battle between these two drivers and new participants that joined the championship and made the competition more interesting.rnThe Toyota driver, Abdullah Al Khelaifi can’t wait for another round ‘After the break, I am really looking forward for another exciting race with the other participants.
